System Maintenance Notice

Please be advised that on Sunday, February 16, the Lifesaving Society will be performing system maintenance on its servers.  As a result, services including Lifeguard Depot logon and Find a Member may be temporarily unavailable for short periods of time.  We expect all of these services to be active again on February 17.  Thank you for your patience and support.

Canadian Lifeguard Emergency Response Championships (CLERC)

On May 9-10 2020 Nova Scotia will be hosting the Canadian Lifeguard Response Championships. We are currently accepting applications for the organizing committee and are looking for interested individuals for the following positions: Marketing and Promotion, Sponsorship, Volunteer Recruitment, Communications, Logistics and a variety of other positions.

New Canadian- Swim Instructors

We are looking to hire female instructors to lead our: New Canadian– Swim to Survive Program.  Our program will consist of 6, one hour lessons where participants will learn beginner level swimming and survival skills.  

Where: Halifax Canada Games Centre
When: March 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5, 19
Time:7-8pm
Instructors will be paid $20/hr and are expected to plan for and attend all 6 lessons.  Interpreters will be available for assistance.

Swim to Survive Instructors

Our 2019/2020  Swim to Survive program has launched with a bang!  We are looking to expand our team of instructors– Transportation can be arranged.

July 21-27, 2019 is National Drowning Prevention Week

The Lifesaving Society designates July 21-27, 2019 as National Drowning Prevention Week (NDPW) to focus community and media attention on the drowning problem and drowning prevention. Logos, social media messages, and resources are now available for members’ use.
