History

Pomquet Beach began supervision from the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service in 2013 - one of the newest additions.

Facilities

Pomquet Beach features include a boardwalk, changehouses, and washrooms.

Beach Safety

Pomquet Beach is a safe beach with a gentle slope and occasional sand bars. The 200 metre supervised area is located directly off the two boardwalks. The area is marked by red and yellow flags on either side of the beach.

Directions

Pomquet Beach Provincial Park is located north east of Antigonish off Highway 104 through the village of Pomquet.

Please stay out of the dunes. They are home to an endangered species of bird called the Piping Plover.

Mobi-chair is available at this beach for persons with mobility issues. Chair is able to go on sand and in water. Please see lifeguards for use. ♿️

 Reapply Sunscreen every 60mins and stay hydrated :)
