2004 Annual Awards Ceremony
On March 26 The Lifesaving Society hosted it's annual awards ceremony. We had the opportunity to honour those volunteers who made outstanding contributions to the Society and recognize unselfish efforts of those who performed heroic rescues of their fellow man.
This years ceremony was a great success with the presentation of our Commonwealth Awards including, Certificate of Thanks and Service Medals, to various people for their volunteer contributions to the Society. We also presented several Rescue commendations to both trained and untrained Nova Scotians. The Queens Jubilee Medals were also presented. This awards honours the significant leadership and achievements of the recipients.
The Lifesaving Society would like to congratulate and thank all those who received awards. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers, with your help we are able to continue our mission of drowning prevention.
